What is a Canada eTA?

A Canada eTA is an electronic travel authorisation associated with air travel to Canada for eligible travellers. Your passport, nationality, journey and circumstances determine which route applies. A valid eTA allows an eligible traveller to fly to or transit through a Canadian airport, with entry assessed at the border.
